atéliea is an independent jewelry brand based in Athens, Greece, inspired by organic nature and the underwater world. Drawing its name from the greek word "ἀτέλεια" (pronounced /aˈte.li.a/) meaning imperfection, the label is the artistic vision of Yana Lekkas, a self-taught metalsmith that explores the limitless possibilities of metal in jewelry creation.
Drawing inspiration from sea creatures, fossils, and the wonders of nature, atéleia pieces are sculpted and shaped into freeform designs that transcend traditional boundaries, balancing unconventional form with superior craftsmanship, comfort and quality.
All pieces are crafted and finished by hand using different techniques, such as the lost wax technique, silver clay, and classic metalsmith.
